Welcome to AELN Journal of Multidisciplinary and Current Studies

I have the pleasure to introduce to the reading public Volume 1 of the Association of Environmental Lawyers of Nigeria Journal of Multidisciplinary and Current Studies. The need for multidisciplinary studies is growing in leaps and bounds within the research arena and the by extension the legal space. Therefore, the legal profession cannot be left behind in embracing the diverse intersections that affects law and policy formulation. It is against this backdrop that the Editorial Board of the Association of Environmental Lawyers of Nigeria decided to devote this unique journal to multi-sectoral and multi-cultural components of law and policy. This maiden edition contains articles admirably discussed by authors from different academic background. It is an admixture of very epochal and cutting-edge piece of research across criminal, petroleum, health, and environmental law, energy, oil and gas, and human rights. The authors did not only expand the discourse in these areas of law, but essentially captured the current trends and emerging development in their respective papers; highlighting the need to attract the attention of any scholar or policy makers.
